Medical keyboard-Disinfected with one wipe only

The German Keyboard specialist ProKeys presents its new keyboard model X1
Following the continuously raising demands for hygienic conditions in all segments of the health care sector, ProKeys created its new medical keyboard X1. The fully flat front surface, without raised keys, offers both: high typing comfort and optimal hygienic conditions.
The outer shell of the X1 consists of two silicone rubber parts only. They are produced of high quality latex-free silicone rubber free from any seems or crevices.
With its IP68 protection level, the X1 can be cleaned and disinfected with a wet wipe and even be dipped in liquids, if required.
Different to an ordinary medical keyboard, where cleaning on and between the keys, can be time-consuming and inefficient, the X1 has an entirely flat surface. Only the orientation dimples at the F- and J-key are raised from the surface decently.
With that, complete cleaning and disinfecting is being eased and the necessary time for that process reduced significantly.
By using our lock function for the cleaning process, unintended inputs will be reliably prevented.
The chemical and mechanical resistance of the X1 is improved by a specific silicone based spray coating. It gives the touching surface additionally a smooth and silky touch.
Beside the hygienic aspects, product ergonomics has been in the focus of the developer too. With 1 Newton activation force, which is almost at office keyboard level, convenient and comfortable work with our keyboard is assured.
The known excellent tactile feedback of its sister model K1, could be adapted. Though there are no raised keys anymore, a precise click-feedback with each key activation, can be felt. The material of the outer shell is of course resistant against most common disinfection substances.
A multi-layer front improves the resistance additionally against mechanical and chemical influences.
Since there are no mechanical switching elements necessary, the X1 is almost emitting no noise. It is qualified for use in noise sensitive environments.
That rugged construction protects the keyboard as well against mechanical impacts.
105 keys including 12 function keys are offering the entire function spectrum of an MFII-keyboard.
The new X1 is connected to the host via a standard USB-interface. A PS/2 connection is available on request.
